Natural Looking Kinky Curly Lacefront Wig By Perfect Locks Hair

I was recently contacted by Perfect Locks to do a review of their hair. I selected their kinky curly lace front wig because I don’t wear sew-ins like I used to and I was interested in knowing how theirs would fit. I love kinky/ curly hair, but the wig cap construction was unlike any that I have seen before.

Hair specs:

  • Hair Type: Made from Indian Remy Hair
  • Cap Features: Adjustable strap w/ 3 combs
  • Texture: Steam permed kinky curly texture
  • Density: Medium
  • Cap Size: Regular
  • Base Material: Swiss Lace
  • Base Construction: First 3” are hand knotted, the rest is machine made

First impression:

My unit is 22 inches long and she arrived in a purple bag. I got their entire hair care line along with it and I like the fact that they have products to go with their hair. The wig comes with three hair combs in the front and adjustable straps in the back. The entire unit is made of lace material that stretches to fit your scalp perfectly. I like this cap construction because it eliminates the need for a wig cap. Typically, with lacefront wigs, the wefted hair is “floating” and supported only by a few vertical straps every few inches. The cap is open and may cause your hair and scalp to easily be exposed to the elements or heat styling tools if you do not wear a cap in between.

The wig is deceptively thin when you remove it from the packaging. I honestly wondered how it would look on my head. Once I washed and fluffed the hair, it grew. I was stunned. My guess is that they compress the hair to save space. Despite the thickness, the hair is very lightweight.

I love the hair for now. I will definitely be doing more with it as I get inspired, but I think I see color in the future.
